Terms and Conditions of Use
These "Terms & Conditions of Use" constitute the contractual agreement between you and WCET regarding the use of our website (www.wcet.wiche.edu), communications (including members-only email lists), resources, and any activities or transactions you may conduct through this site, herein referred to as ‘resources’. Your use of our ‘resources’ constitutes your agreement to abide by these Terms and Conditions. This statement contains our commitment to you concerning your privacy and how WCET may use information you provide.
Information We Collect
No personal information is collected unless you choose to provide that information to us. Personal information is collected for membership, demographic, and communications purposes.
If you choose to provide personal information by sending an e-mail, registering for an event, or by submitting a form via our website, we use that information to communicate with you and to help us fulfill your request. Contact information from event registration forms may be shared with companies that underwrite WCET events and programs. We may also use your personal information to update our internal database of contacts and members, access to which is restricted to authenticated persons from WCET.
If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the website, we will gather and store only standard Internet log information, such as (but not limited to) the host system, time, and duration of visits to our pages.
How We Use Information
By registering for a WCET event your information may be shared with companies that underwrite WCET events and programs. WCET’s registration process for in-person meetings includes opt-out options for both the registrant’s contact information and any photographs taken at the meeting. If you wish to confirm your opt-out, please contact us.
If you do not register for a WCET event and simply visit the website, WCET will not share, sell, or trade this individual information without your advance permission. Any information that becomes published will be on an aggregated, non-identifying basis.
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law where we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on our ’resources.’
WCET's logo is copyrighted and is the exclusive property of WCET. Member institutions/organizations may request use of the logo to denote their membership on websites & approved printed materials.
Materials that are freely available on our website use a Creative Commons "Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike" license, unless otherwise noted.
All information provided by users (including, but not limited to: e-mails, postings to email lists, wikis, and blog entries) may be used by WCET within the limitations of the Fair Information Practice policies without restriction or compensation.
Materials appearing on, referenced on, or linked to the ‘resources’ that are not produced by WCET are subject to the copyright agreements specified by the author. Materials may be copied or downloaded provided that all restrictions noted for that material are complied with and that notices of copyrights and/or proprietary notices are included.

Links to Other Sites
WCET does not have control of content, accuracy, or copyrights to sites that are linked outside of the WCET ’resources’. We do not endorse, recommend, or authenticate the accuracy of information at linked sites. The links are provided as an informational resource to WCET members and users of the website. Individuals must evaluate linked sites for usefulness or purpose.
WCET makes every effort to ensure that information on the website is accurate and timely. However, WCET does not provide warranties or assurances as to the accuracy of all information contained in the content pages or contact pages of the website.
WCET's ‘resources’ are a forum for sharing information pertinent to our mission and facilitating civil discussion of related issues. WCET seeks to protect the WCET community from irresponsible or illegal activities. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to: transmission of offensive or obscene materials, impersonation of others, unsolicited commercial or political appeals, transmission of annoying or defamatory material, access to services not authorized for that user, violation of the privacy of others, infringement of copyrights, disruption of service, or any illegal activity. Unacceptable use is determined at the sole discretion of WCET staff. Materials on the ‘resources’ may be removed by WCET staff at any time without reason or cause. WCET staff will inform anyone accused of unacceptable use and seek to remedy the complaint, but WCET retains the right to deny access to the ‘resources’ to anyone without reason or cause.
By using these ‘resources,’ you agree to the conditions defined in this statement of "Terms & Conditions of Use." WCET reserves the right to change these policies as needed or conditions change. Notification of any changes will be posted on the website. Changes may include, but are not limited to modifications, edits, new content, or deletions of content pages.
The contents of these ‘resources’ are intended for the sole use of WCET's members, associates, and guests for the purposes of promoting the goals, services, and products of WCET.
