Steering Committee Leadership

The WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET) is pleased to announce that Deb Gearhart, vice provost for elearning and strategic partnerships at Ohio University, was confirmed in her elected position to serve as its 2015-2016 steering committee chair. 

Nick White, director, competency-based learning solutions, Capella University, was elected to serve as the 2015-2016 steering committee vice chair. 

Executive Council Leadership

WCET is also pleased to announce that Pat James, executive director, California Colleges Online Learning Initiative, and Laura Pedrick, special assistant to the provost for strategic initiatives and executive director of UWM Online, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, were elected by their peers to serve a 3-year term on the WCET executive council.  

Peter Smith, senior scholar and advisor to the president, OpenCollege@KaplanUniversity, has been confirmed as executive council chair by election of his peers for the 2015-2016 term. Luke Dowden, director of distance learning at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, has been elected by his peers to serve as executive council vice chair for the 2015-2016 term.
