This site is closed. WCET's EduTools website provided independent reviews and side-by-side comparisons of educational technology products. EduTools was best known for its CMS/LMS comparative reviews and useful checklist of CMS/LMS features.
"No Significant Difference" Research and Website. Based on a concept by Thomas Russell to document the number of studies between courses that do and do not use educational technologies, the NSD website is a growing repository of comparative media studies in education research. Both no significant differences and significant differences studies are included. New entries are encouraged. Please submit an entry.
The Technology Costing Methodology (TCM) is a set of step-by-step procedures that enable institutional leaders to analyze the costs of using technology in both on- and off-campus instruction. Among TCM's tools are the TCM Handbook and the TCM Tabulator, an Excel spreadsheet to assist you in making your calculations.
The Center for Transforming Student Services (CENTSS), established in fall 2005, is a one-stop virtual center where institutions can find a plethora of resources to help them better support all students (those studying on and off campus) as they strive to increase learner success and retention. CENTSS was a partnership effort among WCET, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and Seward Inc.
WICHE Internet Course Exchange (ICE) enables students, through their home institutions, to seamlessly access high quality online courses and programs offered by other four-year and two-year ICE member institutions. The collaborative model fosters faculty engagement, resource sharing, and innovation.
AdjunctMatch is an online service developed by Adjunctopia and WCET to help institutions with adjunct position openings and instructors with teaching experience find one another more quickly.
iNACOL – WCET served as the innovation incubator for the North American Council for Online Learning which has since become the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL).
