D3 = Data Driven Decisions: It's Trendy
For over 20-years, The Campus Computing Project has analyzed the role of information technology in American Higher Education. Each fall more than 500 two- and four-year universities and colleges participate in the Campus Computing Survey, which proves
qualitative and quantitative data to aid and inform IT planning and policy decisions at colleges and universities across the country.
In 2009, The Campus Computing Project and WCET conducted the first Managing Online Education (MOE) study, focused on the instructional, managerial, and technology challenges that confront online programs and the campus officials who manage these initiatives. Results from the 2009 survey revealed that “Enrollments are up and rising, profits are often uncertain, and organizational arrangements are in transition.” WCET and Campus Computing will launch the second annual MOE survey in October; the results will be presented at the 2010 WCET conference in San Diego on November 12th.
Ahead of the launch of the 2010 MOE survey, we invite you to join Kenneth C. Green, the founding director of The Campus Computing Survey and Ellen Wagner, executive director of WCET, for a big audacious conversation about the importance of data driven decision making during times of considerable change.
