This webinar will introduce three different types of professional development programs for online faculty training and community building. The presenters will discuss both the challenges and advantages that came with creating and implementing these programs, along with the benefits they have seen both for their faculty and students. A theme will be how institutions or systems build a culture of professional development for online faculty and, therefore, increase acceptance of distance learning across the board. This webinar is sponsored by WCET's Student Retention in Online Learning Common Interest Group (CIG).
* UAS Quality Rubric - This is the draft rubric being used by UAS Sitka. It's important to note that one of the values of this instrument is that faculty participated in selecting every piece of it. UAS believes that ownership is invaluable in ensuring that it will be used.
