TAACCCT's Ground-breaking Program to Bridge Community Colleges and Employers

Light burst logo for webcast

The Department of Labor's Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant program is a ground-breaking initiative to bridge community colleges and employers to partner on programs that provide pathways to jobs. The program will provide up to $500 million in grants funds each year for four years. The first round of grantees was announced in September 2011. Read more in the Department of Labor press release.

The TAACCCT program resonates with the WCET community for numerous reasons, including the emphasis on:

  • Creating instructional programs that meet industry needs.
  • Enhancing online and technology-enabled learning.
  • Requiring that online learning materials developed with TAACCCT funding must be free and licensed with a Creative Commons license.

Join us for a free 60-minute webcast on Wednesday, October 19 at Noon MDT to learn more about the program and it's very promising future!
