Going To College Online:
Is it really about studying in your pajamas?
You've seen the commercials. Maybe you've even visited more than your share of the online college lead generation websites. But you're still left with questions. You're not alone!
The demand for online learning has been growing at a frantic pace since the turn of the century. In 2006-2007 the National Center for Educational Statistics estimated that there were 12.2 million enrollments in college-level credit-granting courses and we're likely to see a steep increase in that number as more students return to college online to help build skills for a new economy.
So, to answer the question, no, it's not just about studying in your favorite pajamas and bunny slippers. It's about gaining knowledge and skills to help you further your personal and professional learning goals. We've put together a few "Frequently Asked Questions" to help you understand what it means to be an online student. If you're interested in answering the question, "What will I learn?" about a distance education program, be sure to visit the College Choices for Adults website and review the program learning outcomes for the program you are interested in.
