Job Description

The Director of Advising and Entry Services will provide leadership for the development, implementation, operation, and assessment of a comprehensive advising and entry services program. Specifically, the director will provide oversight and be the primary resource for Testing Services, Orientation, Office Support Services (front desk, etc.), Academic Advising, Career Services, and Running Start.  The director will work collaboratively across the district to develop and support student success initiatives.  Responsibilities include:  hiring, supervision, and support of faculty and staff; program development, support, and reporting; and direct involvement in supporting, advancing, and assessing the Start-to-Finish model, Achieving the Dream initiatives, Guided Pathways and current and future retention and student success initiatives in order to best support students in achieving their academic and professional goals.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience in academic advising and/or student services with demonstrated success in engaging and leading programs and/or initiatives.
  • Experience supervising staff including coaching and mentoring and providing strong leadership in a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively with faculty and staff to find effective solutions to student challenges.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and successful experience working with diverse populations.
