Consults with faculty to design, develop, and deliver high quality traditional and distance courses. Ability to design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials. Advanced knowledge of instructional design and product development. Organization, critical thinking, interpersonal, and team communication skills. Ability to develop online materials. Solid understanding of research techniques. Instructional design, learning space, and CMS experience. Plans, develops, and implements traditional courses, workshops, and Internet and web-based courses. Assists in the planning and implementation of programs for faculty that focus on active learning strategies and effective instructional design principles. Develops traditional and computer-assisted instructional materials to help patrons develop needed teaching and learning skills. Develops and supervises production of both print and electronic instructional support materials. Coordinates staff training in use of online systems, web resources, and other local and remote information services. Coordinates instructional services with multimedia, computing, and telecommunications providers. Provides outreach services for instruction in information services. Investigates technologies that will improve services. Performs other duties as assigned.
Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, or related field. 1 – 2 years in teaching or instructional design.
