Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, and working as part of district-wide Human Resources, Facilities, and Campus Safety teams, this position actively supports and engages in Pierce College's goals for equity and inclusion in order to provide access and support for our diverse community of learners. The incumbent will develop, maintain and administer Pierce College's comprehensive Accident Prevention Program in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This position also provides leadership in the management of risk to students, employees and the public by identifying hazardous conditions and recommending courses of action, performing investigations, training personnel and developing occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health, Safety Studies, Natural Science, Business, Public Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience as a health and safety professional, industrial occupational safety consultant, industrial occupational safety inspector, or a related occupation.
- Experience managing programs.
