Job Description

This Instructional Designer/Technologist is an equity minded, team player of the eLearning Department at Mesa Community College and acts as a college-wide resource for the varied online learning course development needs of the college community. This position will work in consultation with faculty and other stakeholders on the instructional design/development of Z Degree/OER/Low-cost and culturally relevant online courses. The Instructional Designer/Technologist develops, implements, and supports online professional development for both faculty and staff in collaboration with the Center for Teaching & Learning. This position works with college and district stakeholders to support the use of the college’s “eLearning Suite of Tools,” such as: Dropout Detective Administration, ConexED Cranium Cafe, Canvas LMS Administration, etc. The eLearning Department actively seeks a candidate that will lead and advance the college priority of diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in instructional design, training and development, educational technology, education or related field and four full time equivalent years of experience in instructional design and development, program and systems development and/or assessment and evaluation. OR Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and six full time equivalent years of experience in instructional design and development, program and systems development and/or assessment and evaluation OR High School Diploma/GED and eight full time equivalent years of experience in instructional design and development, program and systems development and/or assessment and evaluation.
