Job Description

The Instructional Multimedia Developer is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position as a member of the Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) team. This position provides development, revision, and support of online, hybrid and HyFlex courses across the curriculum working directly with faculty to provide pedagogical and technological support to effectively deliver instruction to students.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, or a related area
  • Minimum of two years of experience with online course design (with adaptation of traditional instruction features to online delivery), educational technology, or related field such as the following:
    • Experience with online pedagogy and application of instructional technology
    • Demonstrated ability working with learning management/online learning platforms (i.e. Canvas), web conferencing (such as Zoom), social networking, problem-based learning, case studies, learner analytics, learner interactivity, HTML, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with learning management systemsVideo production experience (i.e. Adobe Premiere, iMovie, GarageBand)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and accurately, managing workflow and projects and those of subordinates
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, including active participation
  • Excellent oral, written,interpersonal communication, and organizational skills
  • Design, coordinate and deliver text, graphics, video, sound, and/or interactive web elements for online learning courses and programs
  • Desktop publishing experience (i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft Office 360 software suites)
  • Ability to spend long periods of “screen time” working online but in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform
