Job Description

The Coordinator of Educational Technology Support works under the direction of the Director of Distributed Education and is responsible for overseeing the implementation and administration of the course management system (CMS) and related technologies at Vol State. The Coordinator works closely with instructional designers, members of the Information Technology department, and academic division leadership in planning, executing, and assessing the appropriate use of emerging educational technologies. The position supports professional learning by actively researching educational technology trends and developments, providing ongoing professional learning opportunities for faculty members, and making recommendations consistent with the department’s mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher. At least three years of providing technical support, training, or other related experience. Experience using or supporting a course management system.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree. Recent experience working in higher education, particularly online or distance education.
