Job Description

Business Development Specialist is responsible for cultivating partnerships with external companies, NGOs, non-profits, and municipal organizations to offer professional development and training opportunities. This position will determine how CSU Online will meet each partner’s unique needs while meeting with high-level contacts at top public and private companies and building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline. Extensive travel will be required and may account for as much as 75% of this position’s time.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A degree in Business or Marketing, or related field at either the Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
  • 5 years of sales experience
  • Experience in business development/agency marketing services for education industry
  • Established network of partnerships with businesses, non-profits, and educational providers
  • Experience successfully negotiating contracts that result in positive revenue
  • Demonstrated experience closing sales
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date
  • The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date. CSU Online will not sponsor a visa for this position.
