The E-Learning Technologist is an instructional design position that is primarily responsible for gathering instructional content and transitioning this content from the course development documents into CCCOnline’s learning management system.  Another primary function is to explore and learn about new instructional design technologies under the guidance of the E-Learning Technologist II, as well as assist Instructional Design team members with building and/or incorporating technical assets into their course development projects.

  • Perform as the project manager in course development projects, as well as participate in team builds for course development. 
  • Develop new online content, multimedia and other unique learning objects.
  • Convert existing instructional material into online learning media.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to create, and deliver web based course content.
  • Provide support for e-learning initiatives and assist instructional designers in their course development projects.
  • Write, edit, and record audio voice-over scripts for e-learning.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on completed courses.
  • Collaborate with academic teams in the development, and redevelopment of engaging web-based courses and programs that reflect CCCOnline’s quality standards.
  • Identify and/or develop digital elements to support student engagement and learning outcomes in online courses.
  • Develop and maintain effective instructional design models for CCCOnline using best practices in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and institutional ADA guidelines.
  • Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, time management, and evaluation skills.
  • Advise academic team members on user-centered online course design, copyright, and accessibility compliance.
  • Aid in troubleshooting issues reported by faculty and staff.
  • Work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Maintain a strong technology aptitude.
  • This position will be located at the CCCOnline offices at 9026 E Severn Pl., Denver, CO.
  • Occasional travel to in-state or out-of-state conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a field related to Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or Educational Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • Additional relevant experience will be accepted as a substitute for degrees in a non-related area. 
  • Demonstrated ability with the following software applications; Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver, Articulate Storyline or other equivalent web-design software.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop or equivalent software,
  • Experience with HTML5 and Cascading Style Sheets.
