This position requires a high level of organization, good communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position reports to the Director of Operations and Business Office, and is responsible for the successful business operations of LSU Online and Continuing Education. The unit has an annual budget of approximately $23M, and is growing regularly. This position will lead the team to increased automaticity in financial reporting, which involves interfacing with ITS, Finance and Accounting, and other departments to automate currently manual processes. This position also is responsible for leading the team to create monthly reports, including Profit and Loss statements and visual reporting, in order to guide managerial accounting decisions. The Assistant Director of Business and Operations will also lead the management of human resource activities for Online and Continuing Education, as well as other operational components associated with onboarding and management of employees.
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business, or related field with 5 years of experience in budgeting, financial reporting, or related work, and 2 years of supervisory experience.
Master's degree with Demonstrated experience writing financial reports with a minimum of five year's experience managing a team. Five years of experience and knowledge related to managing budgets and Profit & Loss Statements. Knowledge of current LSU systems, experience with Salesforce, Workday, and Jenzabar. Experience with project management and associated tools.
