EdPlus at ASU currently seeks a highly motivated Software Engineer Principal to support an initiative in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. The project consists of the implementation of an online learning community that currently supports over 7,000 users and is expanding to support 100,000 young Africans globally over the next five years. This project follows an agile methodology informed by human-centered design. The Software Engineer Principal serves as the technical lead for the Baobab project working with and leading other developers (in-house and contract) to perform professional work in the research, design, development, implementation and maintenance of Baobab, a Ruby on Rails web and native Android application that integrates with other open source web technologies and Salesforce. Experienced applicants with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, 5-years prior experience developing software in an academic environment; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
