Lergia Olivo

Instructional Design Manager, FIU Online, Florida International University

Lergia Olivo is an instructional design manager at FIU Online, Florida International University’s centralized distance learning unit. She oversees a team of over 20 learning design professionals who together are responsible for the design and development of online and hybrid courses. Lergia has a bachelor’s in English, a master’s in linguistics, and is currently working towards her doctorate in teaching and learning. She is a 2019 graduate of the Online Learning Consortium’s Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (IELOL). In addition to her role at FIU Online, Lergia also teaches in FIU’s English Language Institute.
