Member-Only Events

WCET periodically hosts virtual events exclusive to our members; some events are also open to members of the State Authorization Network. Available recordings of these events can be accessed via wcetMIX.

Summit

WCET’s Virtual Summits are a deep dive into digital learning topics impacting postsecondary education and are reserved for WCET members. The 2024 Virtual Summit will be announced soon.

Closer Conversations

Held the fourth Friday of most months, these informal, topic-focused discussions offer members a more intimate opportunity to ask questions directly of experts and peers. Audience size is limited to 50. Recent topics include:

  • Fostering Community and Belonging Beyond the Workplace Water Cooler.
  • Open Educational Resources.
  • How to Create a Sense of Community When There Is No Community.
  • Ensuring Quality in Digital Learning.

Policy Seminars

WCET holds policy seminars where our policy experts guide members through an exploration of the key policy topics facing institutions today. Our recent event for WCET and SAN members provided an update on several key regulatory and policy issues such as regular and substantive interaction, newly released rules from the Department of Education, and a glimpse into potential election implications on higher education policy.

Member-Only Webcasts

WCET hosts member-only webcasts throughout the year to provide members with an exclusive and intimate opportunity to ask questions of experts and authors. Recent topics include:

  • Educational Innovations That Have Transcended the Pandemic.
  • The “DETA” Behind Inclusive EdTech Practices: A Research Review from DETA and WCET.
