Elements of Humanizing EdTech in Higher Education
This virtual Summit aims to explore the intersection of technology, including but not limited to AI, and the human experience within higher education. Participants will delve into strategies for leveraging technology to enhance digital learning and student support while also addressing ethical considerations and potential challenges. The Summit will foster discussions on ensuring that technology is a tool for humanization rather than a barrier.
Learning Outcomes:
- Shared Best Practices: Participants will gain insights into innovative practices from institutions that have centered humanness in technology-enhanced teaching and learning. This will include examples of tools that have enhanced student engagement, personalized learning, and accessibility.
- Ethical Frameworks: The Summit will provide attendees with a clear understanding of ethical considerations related to AI in higher education. Panelists will discuss the importance of developing guidelines and frameworks to ensure responsible and equitable use of technology. WCET will also be highlighting the member-only AI toolkit.
- Collaborative Partnerships: Attendees will have opportunities to connect with peers, ask questions, and inform WCET’s future resource development.
