Matthew Daniel

For nearly 20 years, Matthew Daniel has consulted on talent development, talent management, and HR technology strategies for Fortune 500s, including companies like Nike, Boston Consulting Group, Capital One, Chipotle, Allstate, Cigna Healthcare, Microsoft, Walmart, and General Motors. Matthew currently serves as principal of talent strategy and mobility at Guild Education, where he researches and consults on the intersection of skills, pathways, mobility, and equity in the workforce. 

Matthew regularly speaks at industry events and is regularly published in industry outlets like TD Magazine, CLO, Talent Management, CTDO, and Training Magazine.

Matthew also serves as a member of the Defense Business Board, advising the Secretary and Undersecretaries of Defense on matters regarding talent management, culture, and diversity.

Janelle Elias serves as the chief strategy officer for Rio Salado College. She provides leadership for strategic initiatives, institutional research and effectiveness, institutional advancement, and national partnerships. She serves as the design lead for Maricopa Community Colleges’ implementation of micropathways and digital badging.

Mardy Leathers

Director, Missouri Office of Workforce Development

Dr. Mardy L. Leathers was appointed to serve as the director of the Missouri Office of Workforce Development in October 2017. In this capacity, he serves as executive director to Missouri’s State Workforce Development Board, director of Apprenticeship Missouri, and oversees Missouri’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Programs. Since his appointment, he has served an integral role in transforming Missouri’s public workforce development system, expanding and modernizing apprenticeship and work-based learning programs, and launching Missouri Job Center Connect. Mardy serves as a national voice to the value of aligning educational attainment, labor force participation, and sustainable employment as critical components of transformational workforce development strategy.

Shani Suber

Shani Suber is the inaugural dean of e-Learning effectiveness and enhancement at Dallas College. She has served in a variety of roles including 23 years in education as an adjunct, faculty, and administrator. In her current role, she is the academic lead administrator for Dallas College’s learning management system upgrade, development of effective online teaching practices, calibration of distance education guidelines and policies. Her leadership spans across 60k students, 3k faculty, and 7 ‘Schools Of’ at Dallas College. Shani has also led collaboration across the college to aid in online accessibility and technology. She advocates for students with disabilities and equality in education for all students while implementing innovation and quality online. As an online learning leader, Shani has been committed to diversity and inclusion efforts in higher education over the years. It’s her honor to commit her professional career to encouraging, developing, and collaborating with educators in this incredible and meaningful industry.
