Awardee: Mississippi Community College Board – Mississippi Virtual Community College

The Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC), operated by the Mississippi Community College Board, has revolutionized online education across the state’s community colleges. MVCC allows students to enroll in courses at any of Mississippi’s 15 community colleges, expanding access to programs and resources that might not be available at their home institutions. By fostering statewide collaboration, MVCC ensures that Mississippi’s students have access to a high-quality, flexible, and comprehensive online learning experience.

Awardee: SUNY COIL, Maritime, NCC, Oneonta, UCAB & SUNY Online – COIL+OSCQR Standards

The COIL+OSCQR Standards project, a collaboration between SUNY Maritime, Nassau, Oneonta, Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), SUNY COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) & SUNY Online extends OSCQR (the SUNY Online Course Quality Rubric) with standards and practices for online international virtual teaching and learning experiences. These standards support faculty and learners to engage in standards-based cross-cultural Virtual Exchange while ensuring online course quality, making this a model for global digital learning initiatives.

Awardee: Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board – Division of Digital Learning

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Division of Digital Learning has been a leader in driving statewide efforts to support digital learning across Texas’s higher education institutions. Through initiatives such as the Texas OER (Open Educational Resources) Playbook and Texas Digital Learning Framework, they have provided essential resources to institutions seeking to enhance access to affordable, high-quality digital education. Their focus on equity, access, and affordability continues to shape the future of digital learning in Texas.

Awardee: University of Hawai’i System – Anatomy and Physiology OER Project

The University of Hawai’i System’s Anatomy and Physiology OER Project provides students with free, high-quality educational resources for one of the most challenging undergraduate courses in the health sciences. By developing and distributing openly licensed textbooks and interactive materials, the project has significantly reduced textbook costs for students while enhancing the learning experience with engaging, accessible content. The initiative is a model of how institutions can leverage open education to improve student success in high-demand fields.
