Accessibility Technologist

Job Summary

The Accessibility Technologist ensures that students, faculty, and staff with disabilities have equitable access to digital resources, instructional content, and campus technologies. This role bridges compliance to accessibility services, instructional design, IT, and compliance, supporting the creation, remediation, and evaluation of content and systems for accessibility. The specialist serves as a campus-wide compliance officer, consultant, educator, and problem-solver to promote an inclusive academic environment through universal design and assistive technology.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; proven accessibility experience.
• Hands-on with LMS and assistive tools; proficiency in WCAG/ADA/508 standards.
• Familiarity with civil rights laws (ADA, Section508/504), WCAG.
• Practical experience with screen-readers, text-to-speech tools, PDF remediation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn’t sponsor H-1B Visas)
