The Online Student Support Specialist is committed to providing holistic support to online students throughout their lifecycle at UNLV and nurturing a sense of belonging for the students. The primary role of the Online Student Support Specialist is to help students achieve their goals by providing support as they navigate the university through various technologies. This position plays a critical role in advancing the university’s efforts to retain, progress and ultimately graduate our online students. The Online Student Support Specialist works with campus partners (such as academic advising, academic success coaching, and tutoring), to ensure online support opportunities are available in preparation of connecting online students to campus resources. This position provides support to student success initiatives and programming coordinated by the units in Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to better support online students.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
