Matt Seimears

Interim Provost, East Oregon University

Matt Seimears joined Eastern Oregon University as dean of the College of Education in 2019 and is currently serving as interim provost. He brings more than 19 years of instructional and administrative experience, previously serving as a professor of STEM and science education, and the department and associate chair of the Elementary Education/Early Childhood Unified/Special Education Department at Emporia State University in Kansas. Matt has experience in CAEP accreditation, planning, and assessment, faculty evaluation, strategic goal setting, external journal editing, and STEM lab management. His vision is to assist with growing teacher frameworks in the state of Oregon and help create a network to help children of trauma and provide a robust resilience training partnership for everyone.
