Assistant Vice President, Course Development, University of Maryland Global Campus


Rob Coyle has spent the last two decades helping learners acquire knowledge and develop new skills, both as a teacher and by collaborating with other educators to create meaningful learning experiences for students at all levels. As assistant vice president for course development at the University of Maryland Global Campus, Rob works with education and learning design experts alongside leaders from undergrad, grad, and doctoral programs to help define an entirely new learning model that supports the unique needs of UMGC students. His team collaborates with faculty and subject matter experts to design entire programs and courses that leverage experiential learning, digital storytelling, career-relevant competencies, true authentic assessments, and extensive use of open educational resources.
