AI Education Policy, Guideline, and Practice Ecosystem Framework

In 2023, WCET introduced the AI Education Policy and Practice Ecosystem Framework to guide higher education institutions in developing AI-related policies. Recognizing the evolving complexity of AI challenges, the 2025 revision offers a strategic, action-oriented roadmap with adaptable policies and guidelines. It features a three-tiered prioritization system to help institutions manage competing demands—such as academic integrity, data security, and curriculum redesign—by ensuring foundational safeguards are in place before implementing advanced AI tools. This approach prevents missteps and turns overwhelming tasks into a structured, multi-year implementation plan.
