As professional licensure requirements continue to evolve—alongside heightened federal and SARA expectations—colleges and universities face a complex and high-stakes compliance landscape. This webcast explores the essentials of professional licensure compliance, including:

  • an overview of key concepts in professional licensure, including state and federal regulations relevant to higher education,
  • an examination of common compliance challenges, such as determining student location, mapping curricula to state educational requirements, managing out-of-state clinical/practicum placements, and monitoring regulatory changes,
  • insights on building institution-wide governance, workflows, and systems to centralize determinations, document everything, and deliver compliant public and direct disclosures,
  • and practical advice for implementing student-centered practices that reduce risk—covering advising and pre-enrollment disclosures, relocation notifications, coordination with licensure boards, and strategies to avoid misrepresentation in marketing and communications.

With the goal of shifting the conversation around licensure compliance beyond “checking the box” on disclosures and instead encouraging a proactive, student-protective approach that supports enrollment and outcomes, panelists will share actionable guidance for academic leaders, compliance officers, and program directors on implementing and sustaining effective licensure-compliance processes.

This webcast will be free and open to all via Zoom. Register to receive the recording.
