Tiina Rodrigue is the senior advisor-cybersecurity, Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Federal Student Aid (FSA), U.S. Department of Education (ED) in Washington, DC. In her role as senior advisor at FSA, she leverages her more than 25 years of experience to guide FSA and ED’s interdepartmental cybersecurity efforts with government entities such as the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of State; as well as the departmental activities with post-secondary institutions, financial lenders, guaranty agencies, and private collection agencies to establish an industry-wide professionalized cyber workforce, meaningful metrics, and ground-truth security. Tiina holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, a Master’s degree in Management Information Technology from the University of Virginia, and is currently a candidate in The George Washington University’s Executive Cyber Corps Doctoral program. Her dissertation quantitatively examines the power and politics of cybersecurity within an organizational environment. She is a wife and mother of six, enjoying running her farm of goats, chickens, and bees.
