David Hubert

David Hubert makes his home in Utah where he serves as Associate Provost of Learning Advancement at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). He led the development and implementation of SLCC’s ePortfolio requirement in its General Education program, directed SLCC’s Faculty Teaching and Learning Center, and helped the college receive a commendation from the Northwest Commission of Colleges and Universities for its assessment of General Education learning outcomes. In his spare time, he loves tennis, photography, camping, and stargazing in Utah’s southern wilderness.

Chie Adachi

Chie Adachi currently works as director, digital learning at Deakin University, Australia. She leads a number of digital learning innovation projects at Deakin and is passionate about and researches how digital pedagogy, educational technology, and interculturalism enhance and innovate teaching and learning. She is also a co-founder of TELedvisors, a special interest group under the Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (ASCILITE).

Dwayne Paré

Dwayne Paré is a cognitive psychologist and the associate director of the Advanced Learning Technologies Lab at the University of Toronto. He is also the co-founder and CEO of Cogneeto Inc, an edtech company whose primary mission is to build evidence-based technologies that will best prepare students for success, leadership, and to be innovative thinkers. His doctoral research focused on the efficacy of formative feedback using peer and self-assessment – which lead to the creation of peerScholar. Although he has spent much of the past year working from home (like many of us), he has found his silver lining of getting to spend family time with his wife and two young children.

Steve Joordens

Steve Joordens is a professor of psychology and director of the Advanced Learning Technologies Lab at the University of Toronto. He is a consumer and creator of educational technology and is widely known for his teaching at both UofT and the courses he offers on Coursera.org (currently over 500,000 students have registered for his courses). He has received awards for his teaching and educational innovations at the institutional, provincial, and national levels. For example, he was named a 3M National Teaching Fellow in 2015, and peerScholar itself won the National Technology Innovation Award in 2008.
