Erin Bentrim

Erin M. Bentrim is a senior education and training specialist for assessment services in global education services at Anthology Inc. She provides expert training and education through Anthology Academy to ensure clients get the most out of their learning journey. Prior to joining Anthology, Erin’s career spanned over 25 years on college and university campuses. Her higher education portfolio includes management-level positions in institutional research, academic assessment, student affairs assessment, and strategic planning.

She is a co-editor and featured author of Coordinating Student Affairs Divisional Assessment: A Practical Guide (2015) and The Impact of a Sense of Belonging in College: Implications for Student Persistence, Retention, and Success (2022). The second edition of her student affairs assessment book is set to be released in fall 2023.

Karen Cangialosi

Dr. Karen Cangialosi joined Every Learner Everywhere in June 2023. As a dedicated Professor of Biology and student advocate for many years, Karen found her way to Open Education which she sees as especially powerful for helping to bring about what she sees as much needed larger-scale change in higher education. She has gained national recognition for leadership in Open Education, STEM education, faculty development, innovative and digital pedagogies, and authentic student-centered learning and she brings these experiences and perspectives to help shape networking for numerous communities. Prior to joining Every Leaner, Karen served as the director of membership for Open Education Global , as well as the program director for Regional Leaders of Open Education Network (RLOE), a project of Open Education Global and The Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources (CCCOER), working to reimagine leadership, shift institutional power to marginalized communities, and promote systemic change for open education and higher education more broadly. She is a co-founder of the RIOS Institute for a Racially Just, Inclusive and Open STEM Education where she served as director of open education and open science. Karen holds a doctorate in zoology from Miami University, a master’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She lives with her partner in Florence, MA and enjoys participating in and organizing LGBTQ community events, playing guitar, harmonica or bass in music jams, kayaking, hiking and biking.

Colleen Falkenstern

Colleen Falkenstern serves as a senior research analyst in WICHE’s Policy Analysis and Research unit. In her role, she supports the development of WICHE’s annual data resources—Regional Fact Book for Higher Education in the West, Benchmarks (of access and success), and Tuition and Fees in Public Higher Education in the West. She also provides analytical support for WICHE’s quadrennial projections of high school graduates, Knocking at the College Door.  

Gates Bryant

Gates Bryant joined Tyton Partners in 2011 in the strategy consulting practice and has led several important innovation initiatives in higher education in digital learning and student success, including Tyton’s Center for Higher Education Transformation. In addition to advising institutions, foundations, and companies in education, he is a frequent author and speaker on topics involving partnerships, teaching & learning innovation, and student success in higher education. 

Prior to joining Tyton Partners, Gates was an executive with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, working in strategy, product management, and finance during a period of dramatic change in the educational publishing and technology industry. He previously held consulting roles with Parthenon Group and Cambridge Associates, and he served on the start-up team of Edify, a US-based nonprofit that provides microloans, curriculum, and training to Christian schools in Africa and Latin America.  

Dan Brennan

Dan joined Tyton Partners in June 2021 as an analyst in the strategy consulting practice and promoted to associate in 2022. Prior to joining Tyton Partners, Dan helped lead the College Crisis Initiative (C2i), a student-run research lab offering COVID-19 case counts, college reopening plans, and other education-focused data to researchers, major news outlets, governmental organizations, think tanks, and professional services firms. At C2i, he was accountable for strategic operations, data collection, data synthesis, brief-writing, and led a team of over 40 undergraduates in conducting educational research. Dan previously worked as an intern economist at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and a policy and research intern at the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE). 

David Rettinger

David Rettinger is a “utility infielder” of academic integrity. He has taught psychology at the college level for over 20 years, including over 15 at the University of Mary Washington where he holds the title of professor emeritus. He is currently a visiting professor of psychology at the University of Tulsa. His academic research interest is in academic integrity behavior, and he has presented on topics relating to pedagogy, policy, and practice in academic integrity around the U. S. and internationally. He is president emeritus of the International Center for Academic Integrity, where he leads the organization’s efforts in assessment and survey research.   

Michael Ratajczyk

Michael spent 12 years in various leadership roles in a multi-national S&P 100 company before returning to Saint Mary’s, his alma mater. His work involved leading teams in business intelligence and optimizing negotiation strategies. For the past ten years, Michael has been teaching at Saint Mary’s where he also works as a Program Director. Previously, he worked with the government and Fortune 500s building intelligence capabilities, implementing business intelligence concepts, and optimizing operations in Asia and Europe. Michael is highly regarded as an expert on ChatGPT and related technologies among his colleagues on campus. Michael is deeply interested in all aspects of AI technology on campus, including the advantages and disadvantages of its use by faculty and staff. 

Kapri Livingston

Kapri Livingston is currently an associate program strategy manager at Wiley University Services. From early days, one idea has captured Kapri’s attention: how can educational advancement unlock new opportunities otherwise unknown? She brings this same curiosity to online education and impacting students’ educational journeys through distinctive, meaningful online experiences. She regularly collaborates with higher ed leadership, administration, and faculty. These partnerships give her a close view of the challenges online education faces and the many rich learning rewards it provides students.
